The first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word "PFALZ" is clearly Riesling. But here in the Herxheimer Winzergenossenschaft we have had a more or less secret passion for the Burgundy varieties for several years. The calcareous soils in our vineyards are simply ideal for this. Regardless of whether it is finely fruity in stainless steel or elegantly matured in wooden barrels, such a Burgundy is something fine. We are Burgundy fans and Burgundy specialists.
Kallstadt is a village in Germany's Pfalz wine region, 20 kilometers (12 miles) south-west of the town of Worms. It marks the northern end of Pfalz's prime vineyard area.
The area is best known for the Riesling wines produced from its Saumagen and Kobnert vineyards. These are often full-bodied yet refreshingly crisp, with plenty of minerality. They show aromas of white blossom and mandarin zest.

I like looking out the window, you can take a deep breath and feel like you're looking over a sea of vines. From up here you have a great view! Outside, the grapes hang on the vine and the wine matures in the cellar. So you feel very connected to the Palatinate and our wine.
